Incheon Airport Luggage Storage: Locations and Fees Vary by Source, Check Before You Go

Travelers planning to store luggage at Incheon Airport should double-check location and fee details before arriving, because the airport's own guidance materials and English information page give conflicting locations, hours and prices for the staffed Hanjin Express storage counters.

One set of guidance material lists a storage counter on the departure floor (3rd floor) of Terminal 1 near check-in counter M, open 24 hours, and a Terminal 2 counter on the departure floor (3rd floor) near check-in counter H, open 06:30 to 22:30. The same material lists a Terminal 1 fee of 2,500 won per bag per day, though since the posting date is unclear, it is unconfirmed whether this rate still applies. A different item on the airport's English page instead places the staffed counters opposite check-in counter B on Terminal 1's 3rd floor and opposite counter H on Terminal 2's 3rd floor. Yet another storage listing gives different locations and hours again: near gates 2 and 13 on Terminal 1's 1st floor (07:00-21:00), near counters B and N on the 3rd floor (07:00-22:00), near counter H on Terminal 2's 3rd floor (24 hours), and the east side of the basement level (07:00-21:00), adding further confusion.

Call the airport center to confirm

Given how much locations and hours differ between sources, the surest approach is to call the Incheon Airport customer center at 1577-2600 before traveling to confirm the current location, hours and fees. The center operates from 07:00 to 22:00, year-round.

Private storage services vary widely

Several private luggage storage operators also serve the airport area. Most apply different rate tables depending on bag size and number of nights stored (1 night, 2-6 nights, 7-30 nights), with some listing roughly 6,000 won a day for a backpack or laptop bag up to 18,000 won for large luggage, while others charge 7,000 won a day for a standard bag and 9,000 won for an extra-large one, with prices differing notably between companies. Some operators say they run free shuttles from the airport, and hours also vary, including 05:00-21:00, 05:00-23:00 and 06:00-21:00. Some require a minimum two-night storage fee for luggage retrieved at a different terminal, and some use different floors for drop-off and pickup, such as the 1st floor for drop-off and the 3rd floor for pickup, so conditions should be checked carefully before booking. Some operators advertise insurance coverage of up to 1 million won for damage or loss.

Subway lockers as an alternative

Seoul's subway system runs an unstaffed locker service called T-Locker, with 5,511 lockers across 332 stations, and the airport's information page also mentions a same-day delivery service, T-Luggage, between subway stations and the airport. This can serve as an alternative if airport storage counters are crowded or conditions don't fit.

Before you store anything

Passports, valuables and cash should be carried rather than stored. It is advisable to photograph storage tags, receipts and any access codes in case of loss. Items that cannot be stored vary by operator, and no single official list of prohibited items could be confirmed.

Call the Incheon Airport customer center at 1577-2600 (07:00-22:00, year-round) to confirm storage location and fees in advance.

Anyone planning to store luggage at Incheon Airport should not rely solely on published guidance and should instead confirm same-day conditions by phone or through an operator's own site.
