Cancel cards first
Before anything else, contact your bank to freeze or cancel any cards that were in the wallet — this protects you regardless of whether the wallet is recovered.
Check police lost-and-found
Wallets found in public places are very often turned in to the nearest police box (paechulso) or the national lost-and-found system. We can help check whether yours has been logged.

Is cash usually still inside a recovered wallet?+
It varies by case, but Korea has an unusually high rate of wallets being turned in with cash and cards intact. We can't guarantee contents, but recovery odds are generally good.
Do I need a police report to get my wallet shipped?+
Not necessarily for shipping itself, but if the wallet was already logged with the police lost-and-found system, having your ID details ready speeds up the match.
Can you ship ID cards that were inside the wallet?+
Most ID cards and bank cards can be shipped along with the wallet. Passports are handled differently — see our passport guide for details.
What if I can't remember exactly where I lost it?+
