Lost your passport in Korea?
A missing passport needs a different process than other lost items — here's what actually needs to happen, and where we can still help.
Contact your embassy first
Replacing a lost or stolen passport is handled by your country's embassy or consulate in Korea, not by international courier. This should be your first call — most embassies in Seoul can issue emergency travel documents.
File a police report
Most embassies require a Korean police report before issuing a replacement passport. Your nearest police station can help file one, even without fluent Korean.
If the passport itself is later found
If a hotel, taxi, or venue later locates your original passport after you've already received a replacement, we can help arrange secure pickup and hold it for you or your embassy — courier shipping of passports isn't something we or most carriers can do.
